2026 Library Closure Days and Winter Break Opening Hours
Description:
1. In accordance with the 2025 Government Administrative Agencies’ Office Calendar and the resolutions of the 240th Administrative Meeting, NTUE Library has determined the following work and vacation schedules for the winter break of 2026.
2. Weeks 17-18 : Library remains open through January 11 during the flex supplement teaching period. Hours: Weekdays 8:00 AM – 10:00 PM / Weekends 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
3. Opening hours during Winter Break: During winter break from January 12th to February 22th, 2026, library is open from 8:00 to 17:30, closed on weekends and common days off. Details are provided on the library's website under > Services > Reading Services > Opening Hours, mini calendars of 2026 winter break hours are available at the information desk.
4. Closed days during Lunar New Year : Library will be closed 10 days from 2/13(Fri.)~2/22(Sun.) due to Winter Vacation Common Days Off and Lunar New Year holidays.
5. Resumption of normal opening hours: 2026 Winter break ends on February 22(Sun.), and the library will resume normal opening hours from Monday, February 23th. Opening hours is from 8:00 to 22:00 on week days, and 9:00 to 17:00 on weekends during the semester.
6. Precautions for returning books during winter break: During library’s closure hours, please return books into 24-hour Book Drop in front of the library’s main gate. After returning, please remember to check on the library’s website on the next opening day to make sure whether the record is correct. If you have any questions, please call for circulation desk’s help during office hours.
7. Thoughtful reminder: Readers are kindly requested to check the closure days and opening hours of the library before visiting during winter break. And if interested in using online resources, please refer to the library's website " Library E-resources for non-stop learning ".
