【Library Reminder】(2026) Important Notes Regarding Graduation Departure Procedures(2026/5/13-06/05)


 

Dear Graduates,

         Congratulations on completing your studies and achieving well-deserved graduation qualification. Before departing, we would like to remind you to return all borrowed library books and audiovisual materials (including settling any overdue fines) at the library service counter. The service counter will be accepting the processing of departure procedures for entire classes from Wednesday, May 13th, to Friday, June 5th, 2026. Please note that borrowing privileges will be suspended for classes that have completed the approval process. For senior students who have not completed the departure procedures and are not taking summer courses, the final deadline for borrowing, returning books, and entering the library is Tuesday, June 30th, 2026 After graduation, you can still access the library by presenting the alumni card issued by the alumni center, or by exchanging a valid ID (national ID card, health insurance card, or driver's license) for a temporary reader's card during the library's opening hours to use books, periodicals, and related facilities. Undergraduate Students

  1. Current Graduates: The Student Assistance Division of Student Affairs Office will provide each class representative with class's student information to process at the library.
  2. Extended Study Students (Non-Graduating Class): These students need to process their departure procedures individually.
  3. Before completing the departure procedures, please ensure that all library materials (including books, accompanying attachments, and audiovisual materials) are returned and all overdue fines (including those from NTUE library, NTUE-NTNU One-Card Service, and interlibrary loan within Taiwan) are paid in full.
  1. Processing Period: Wednesday, May 13th to Friday, June 5th, 2026.
  2. Check Your Borrowing Records and Overdue Fines through library’s website: https://lib.ntue.edu.tw/
  3. Returning Materials via Courier/Mail: If you choose to return library materials by courier or mail, please do so by Wednesday, June 3rd, 2026. The date on the courier's receipt or the postmark will be considered the official return date (shipping fees are to be paid by the sender). Please log in to the library website to check your account status 4 working days after sending the materials.
  4. Please ensure all borrowed materials are returned and all overdue fines are paid to avoid any potential legal consequences.

Graduate Students

  1. Please ensure that all library materials, including books and audiovisual items, are returned and all overdue fines are paid in full before completing the departure procedures. (Including those from NTUE-NTNU One-Card Service and interlibrary loan.)
  2. Submit 2 copies of authorization letters of the Thesis / Dissertation (NTUE and National Central Library) with your handwritten signature.
  3. Submit 3 copies of printed Thesis / Dissertation. (Binding: paperback with glossy coating, A4 size)

*Thesis substitute: comply with department regulations.

Processing will begin upon department’s approval.
